Fuel Injection Pumps - High Pressure Pipes (Tubing) for Testing
- Ground Vehicle Standard
This SAE Standard specifies the dimensional requirement of a range of high pressure pipes for use in the bench testing and setting of fuel injection pumps.
Only dimensions and requirements affecting the hydraulic characteristic of the pipes are defined. Other requirements, such as the type of end connections and shape of the pipes when bent, are not included. These depend on the connections provided at pump outlets and injector inlets, and on the design features of individual pumps and test benches.

Data Sets - Support Documents
The Diesel Fuel Injection Equipment Standards Committee reports to the Powertrain Systems Group of the Motor Vehicle Council. The Committee is responsible for developing and maintaining SAE Standards, Recommended Practices, and Information Reports related to the design, manufacture, use and servicing of diesel fuel injection equipment. These documents are developed in harmony with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). The committee serves as the U.S. delegate to ISO/TC22/SC7 - Road Vehicles, Injection Equipment and Filters. Participants in the SAE Diesel Fuel Injection Equipment Standards Committee include OEMs, suppliers, consulting firms, government, and other interested parties.
