Scope
This SAE Aerospace Standard (AS) defines the minimum performance requirements and test parameters for air cargo unit load devices requiring approval of airworthiness for installation in an approved aircraft cargo compartment and restraint system that complies with the cargo restraint requirements of Title 14 CFR Part 25, except for the 9.0-g forward ultimate inertia force of § 25.561 (b)(3)(ii).
Rationale
After publication of AS36100B (2016-06), it was decided to add ULD configurations and restraint conditions for 55 x 96 inches (U) and 125 x 196 inches (T) nominal base sizes in Sections 7, “ULD Configurations," and 8, “Testing Restraint Conditions." Further, words have been added to 3.5, “Classification Identifier," to describe requirements regarding dual certification and orientation depiction for RC Q has been corrected.
Revision C is proposed for reference by future TSO-C90 revisions.

* Redlines comparisons are available for those standards
listed in the Revision History that contain a radio button. A
redline comparison of the current version against a revision is
accomplished by selecting the radio button next to the standard and
then selecting 'compare'. At this time, Redline versions only exist
for some AMS standards. SAE will continue to add redline versioning
with ongoing updates to SAE MOBILUS.
