Scope
This SAE Aerospace Standard (AS) establishes the geometric control requirements for bolts, screws, and studs where worded notes and symbolized notes are used for straightness, concentricity, squareness, and runout.
Rationale
Update to ASME Y14.5-2009, change from runout to position requirement for concentricity of studs threads, add AS1132 for reference to tolerance values, reidentify datum letters, general editorial and technical revisions throughout.
AS3063C has been reaffirmed to comply with the SAE Five-Year Review policy.

The SAE E-25 General Standards for Aerospace & Propulsion Systems committee addresses aerospace propulsion systems and components. These systems and components include bolts, screws, nuts, washers, studs, rivets, pins, covers, O-rings, brackets, plugs and associated procurement requirements, as well as solid film lubricants and design specifications for screw threads and fastener assembly requirements.
