Scope
This document establishes dimensional, structural and environmental requirements for two types of interline pallets. Type II covers NAS 3610 code sizes and Type III covers other sizes not currently included in NAS 3610.
Rationale
AS1491A has been reaffirmed to comply with the SAE five-year review policy.

Issuing Committee
Committee AGE-2 reports to the Aerospace General Projects Division. The main, or governing committee, AGE-2, is composed of the most experienced members, mainly from the airlines, airframe manufacturers, and support equipment manufacturers, to provide leadership and guidance for the Membership to implement the work is drawn with reasonable balance from airlines, airframe manufacturers, support equipment manufacturers, and others with special aircraft related expertise. Members serve based on their knowledge, expertise, and experience and not as agents or representatives of any organization.
