This specification covers a titanium alloy in the form of sheet and strip.
These products have been used typically for parts to be formed in the solution heat treated condition and subsequently precipitation heat treated requiring high strength-to-weight ratio and stability up to 550 degrees F (288 degrees C) in the precipitation heat treated condition, but usage is not limited to such applications.

The committee of Titanium, Beryllium, and Refractory Materials, AMS Committee G, is responsible for preparation, revision, review and approval of documents related to aerospace application of these materials. Included are titanium, beryllium, and refractory metallic such as molybdenum, tantalum, and columbium. The committee provides a forum for interchange of experience and ideas among industry representatives, both suppliers and users, along with interested government agencies, to ensure the utility, proper technical content, and industry acceptance of published documents.
