This SAE Aerospace Information Report (AIR) presents data on hydraulic fluids which are of interest to detail designers of hydraulic systems and components for aerospace flight vehicles.
The data pertains to fluids conforming to the following specifications:
MIL-PRF-27601 (canceled) MIL-PRF-27601 has been canceled without replacement and the data presented herein is for information purposes only.
AS1241 Type IV, Classes 1 and 2, and Type V
AIR1362 has been updated to Revision C to contain data and test method information for the AS1241 fluids as supplied by the manufacturers of those fluids and to incorporate some editorial improvements.

A6C3 is responsible for the development of standards, processes, and practices related to the hydraulic fluids used in both Commercial and Military air vehicles. The panel provides a forum for aircraft manufacturers, suppliers, airworthiness regulatory engineers and operators to exchange technical information, regulatory updates, recent technology developments, issues related to system development and in service operation and lessons learned.

* Redlines comparisons are available for those standards listed in the Revision History that contain a radio button. A redline comparison of the current version against a revision is accomplished by selecting the radio button next to the standard and then selecting 'compare'. At this time, Redline versions only exist for some AMS standards. SAE will continue to add redline versioning with ongoing updates to SAE MOBILUS.
