Revolutionary Continuous Disperion Mixing (CDM) Process for Lithium Ion Electrode Slurry Production

In recent years, many efforts to find better applications of the particulate active material in lithium ion electrode slurry with the goal of improving output, recharging speed and cost performance have yielded results. However, mixing electrode slurry for lithium ion batteries with conventional type mixers does not yield a uniform dispersion. In hybrid vehicle batteries, the dispersion of the essential conductive material has always been a stumbling block. In 2006, Primix Corporation, established a special task force to support battery device manufacturing technology to contribute to improvements that will help the environment. The efforts of the task force have yielded the CDM (Continuous Dispersion Mixing) Process. CDM process is a continuous dispersion slurry manufacturing process with our specially developed mixer, T.K. Filmics, at the center of the process. The mixer has superior mixing capability, and can create an uniform dispersion between particulate active material and conductive material in a very short period of time. The CDM Process delivers several advantages to the critical manufacturing process in lithium ion batteries, the processing of electrode slurry. Specifically, it improves the performance of the battery in several ways. First, it allows for greater accuracy and precision in the electrode coating process because it improves the rheological properties and reproducibility of slurry viscosity. It also prevents slurry from being contaminated by metal while it decreases manufacturing costs as well as making your plant more environmentally friendly by reducing emissions.
