These technical papers all collectively aim at formulating direction or guidance to increase passenger survivability following a small airplane accident. All available state-of-the-art knowledge in crash dynamics should be applied in an effort to provide a reasonable probability of occupant survival in small airplane accident.

These technical papers are published to increase the awareness of or encourage the application of crash dynamics principles in small airplane design, which will increase survivability or decrease the high fatality rates accompanying a survivable general aviation accident. If the concepts and principles summarized in this book are applied in design with the goal of reducing injury to occupants in a crash environment, we have aided the aviation community.
