The technical papers presented in this SAE Special Publication are the direct result of the "ARP 1587 and Aircraft Gas Turbine Engine Monitoring Systems" session proceedings sponsored by the E-32 Aircraft Gas Turbine Engine Monitoring Committee during the 1980 SAE Aerospace Congress & Exposition. A prime purpose of this technical session was to show specific examples of how ARP 1587 guidelines apply. By this techique, ARP 1587 usefulness should be enhanced and its guidelines clarified.
