This transmitted eLoran signal standard provides technical descriptions of the waveform, specifications, and explanations. The data channel, receiver specification, and recommended practices are described in the SAE9990 family of standards.
Rationale
There is a need for an independent, complementary, multi-domain positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT) system that may interoperate with the Global Positioning System (GPS), other Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS), or PNT sources.
The Systems Management Council (SMC) Position, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Committee develops standards that define architectures, sensors, interfaces, training, and certification recommended practices, so that the commercial marketplace can continue to develop products and capabilities to provide robust and resilient PNT solutions for consumers. In a field that is already experiencing unprecedented growth, these standards will promote the development of new PNT innovations, while also ensuring safe, secure, and reliable operations for all modes of transport and other applications that exist on a foundation of accurate, reliable, and trusted PNT capabilities.

Wild Cards
Using the asterisk, ( * ) allows you to search for a partial word. For example, entering a keyword search of aero* will search for any word beginning with aero.
Using the question mark, ( ? ) allows you to search for a word with a single character wildcard. For example, searching for t?re would match both tire and tyre
Using Quotes
Words in double quotes " " are treated as a phrase. Conducting a search for "heat model" will return all results in which the exact phrase "heat model" is found, while "heat modeling" would NOT be included.
A term combined with a phrase will be joined with an OR operator.
Searching for Standards
When searching for a standard please use the entire Document Number assigned, which includes the abbreviation. A space can be used, or omitted between the abbreviation and number.
