Titanium Alloy, Sheet, Strip, and Plate, 6al 4v, Annealed
- Aerospace Material Specification
This specification covers a titanium alloy in the form of sheet, strip, and plate procured in metric units.
AMS 4911 is the inch/pound version of this MAM.
These products have been used typically for parts requiring strength up to 400 degrees C, but usage is not limited to such applications.
Certain processing procedures and service conditions may cause these products to become subject to stress-corrosion cracking; ARP 982 recommends practices to minimize such conditions.

Data Sets - Support Documents
The committee of Titanium, Beryllium, and Refractory Materials, AMS Committee G, is responsible for preparation, revision, review and approval of documents related to aerospace application of these materials. Included are titanium, beryllium, and refractory metallic such as molybdenum, tantalum, and columbium. The committee provides a forum for interchange of experience and ideas among industry representatives, both suppliers and users, along with interested government agencies, to ensure the utility, proper technical content, and industry acceptance of published documents.
