This specification covers reinforced rubber and reinforced thermoplastic hose, or hose assemblies, intended for conducting liquid and gaseous dichlorodifluoromethane (refrigerant 12) in automotive air-conditioning systems. The hose shall be designed to minimize permeation of refrigerant 12 and contamination of the system and to be serviceable over a temperature range of -30 to 120°C (-22 to 248°F). Specific construction details are to be agreed upon between user and supplier.
The Non-Hydraulic Hose Committee develops and maintains SAE Standards, Recommended Practices, Information Reports and appropriate manuals relating to the development of non-hydraulic thermoset and thermoplastic elastomeric hose specifications, such as those used in cooling, fuel, oil, fuel vapor, air management, windshield washer (tubing) and refrigerant systems, which can be either mobile or stationary applications. The task forces formed under the committee's direction include: Low Permeation J2416 Diesel Fuel Hose Fuel Cell/Hybrid Vehicle Hoses Test Method for Non-Conductive Coolant Hose Cover Participants in the SAE Non-Hydraulic Hose Committee include OEMs, suppliers, consulting firms, government and other interested parties.

Using Quotes
Words in double quotes " " are treated as a phrase. Conducting a search for "heat model" will return all results in which the exact phrase "heat model" is found, while "heat modeling" would NOT be included.
A term combined with a phrase will be joined with an OR operator.
