Safety and Human Factors Standards Steering Committee
The Safety & Human Factors Steering Committee considers methods for defining, developing, and evaluating human-machine operating characteristics for advanced vehicle systems. Human factors is a cross-cutting discipline that has applications to the design, operation, and evaluation of the human-machine interface elements in vehicle and infrastructure systems. The Steering Committee addresses issues of interface design, driver workload, safety, system complexity, ease of use, and the response of drivers to automatic control systems, especially with regard to risk compensation. The Steering Committee also provides input to the work of ISO TC22 SC39 (Formerly ISO TC22 SC13).Steering committee reporting to MVC
