Issuing Committee
E-38 Aviation Piston Engine Fuels and Lubricants
The Aviation Piston Engine Fuels and Lubricants Technical Committee primarily deals with aviation piston engine lubricant qualifications, but could be expanded to include fuel and/or additive qualifications at a later date. The committee's objective is to develop specification and qualification procedures that will satisfy the need of the military, FAA, engine manufacturers, fuels and lubricant suppliers and the general aviation community. Participants in the SAE Aviation Piston Engine Fuels and Lubricants Technical Committee include OEMs, suppliers, consulting firms, government and other interested parties.
