Hose Clamp Performance and Compatibility Committee

The Hose/Clamp Performance and Compatibility Committee develops and maintains SAE Standards, Recommended Practices and Information Reports relating to joints and connections comprised of hoses, fittings and clamps or retaining devices used to secure the joint within the motive power industry. The committee: ¿ develops methods for the evaluation and validation of joints or connections secured by the above mentioned devices ¿ establishes basic standards, specifications and recommended practices that will be used by the general community of automotive engineers and designers in the deliberations of design considerations ¿ establishes credible guidelines for use by those interested in the application of hose, clamps and related devices without implying that any one device is superior to another. Each device shall stand upon its own merit ¿ harmonizes global markets by supporting specifications that support current practices of participating markets Participants in the SAE Hose/Clamp Performance and Compatibility Committee include OEMs, suppliers, consulting firms, government and other interested parties.
