Construction Agricultural and Off Road Machinery Council
Standard development activities involved in the design, production and application of Construction, General Purpose Industrial, Agricultural, Forestry and Specialized Mining Machinery as defined in SAE J1116. The Construction, Agricultural & Off-Road Machinery (ConAg) Council focuses on two major projects: ¿ creating consensus SAE Standards, Recommended Practices and Information Reports for the off-highway industry sectors ¿ harmonizing relevant SAE documents with comparable International Organization for Standardization (ISO) documents This latter project has helped to identify the need for standards that do not yet have either SAE or ISO documentation. United States success in the ISO arena is primarily due to the transfer of national (SAE) standards into ISO standards. The ConAg Council participates in US Technical Advisory Groups (TAGs) that serve the ISO subcommittees responsible for the activities of TC127, Earth-moving machinery; TC195, Building construction machinery and equipment; and TC23, Tractors and machinery for agricultural and forestry.
