Snowmobile Passenger Handgrips
This SAE Recommended Practice is intended to give information to engineers and designers in order that access to a passenger handgrip, when used, is easily obtained, and that such handgrips offer maximum safety for a person at least as large as a 95th percentile adult male during snowmobile operation.

The Snowmobile Technical Committee develops and maintains SAE Standards, Recommended Practices, and Information Reports related to snowmobiles and their components or systems. The committee also maintains liaison with groups such as the Snowmobile Safety and Certification Committee, Inc. (SSCC), Transport Canada, the Canadian Standards Association (CSA), SAE-related committees and other organizations as necessary. Participants in the SAE Snowmobile Technical Committee include OEMs, suppliers, consulting firms, government and other interested parties.
