Authors Abstract
Content
As unprecedented growth in EV sales is expected, and the number of public charging stations must be planned accordingly as charger up-time and functionality (i.e., availability) is the number one factor for users once the charging system is installed.
Electric Vehicle Intended Functionality, Availability, and Equity Inclusion informs current customers and potential purchasers of functionality, availability, and equity inclusion issues with EV charging systems currently in production and in use across North America and Europe. Note that if shortages of available chargers are recognized and exposed across the US, this could then have a negative impact on future potential EV customers from making the “leap” from traditional ICE vehicles to EVs.
