Scope
This specification covers the general requirements for integrally illuminated information panels.
Rationale
Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Richmond has revised the spec adding back in QPL requirements. DLA wants to maintain the QPL and wants to be the owner of the new spec MIL-DTL-7788. The A-20A/C Committee concurs with their request and feel AS7788 should be cancelled.

Issuing Committee
The purpose of the A-20 Aircraft Lighting Committee is to provide a forum for the development of aerospace standards in aircraft lighting that will fulfill the needs and requirements of operation control and utility. The scope includes both interior and exterior lighting. A list of the technical reports developed by the A-20 Committee can be obtained by searching on 'aircraft lighting' and selecting 'standards', from the SAE Home Page. A-20 Standards
Reference
* Redlines comparisons are available for those standards
listed in the Revision History that contain a radio button. A
redline comparison of the current version against a revision is
accomplished by selecting the radio button next to the standard and
then selecting 'compare'. At this time, Redline versions only exist
for some AMS standards. SAE will continue to add redline versioning
with ongoing updates to SAE MOBILUS.
