Scope
This SAE Aerospace Recommended Practice (ARP) provides a comprehensive and consistent set of guidelines for the definition, recognition, troubleshooting, and repair of hydraulic components and systems on in-service aircraft affected by external leakage.
Rationale
ARP6175 has been updated to Revision A for the following reasons:

To incorporate aspects of ARP1084 into ARP6175 to allow ARP1084 to be cancelled.

To include military aircraft and helicopters.

To incorporate editorial changes, including changing the title and adding Section 7.

The Commercial Aircraft Panel is responsible for the development of standards and recommended practices related to the integration of fluid power and actuation technologies into commercial air vehicles. The Panel provides a forum for aircraft manufacturers, suppliers, airworthiness regulatory engineers and operators to exchange technical information and discuss regulatory updates, recent technology developments, lessons learned, and issues related to system development and in service operation.
