Scope
This document specifies requirements for an Airborne Landing Guidance System (ALGS) electronic device. This equipment shall derive relative aircraft position and situation information for flight along precision three-dimensional paths within the appropriate coverage area. The precision three-dimensional path may be an ILS straight-in look-alike path or a complex, curved path. The requirements are applicable to electronic devices capable of receiving signals or other information from one or more sources, including but not limited to ILS, MLS, GNSS, or IRU inputs.

S-7 Flight Deck Handling Qualities Stds for Trans Aircraft
The SAE S-7 Committee was formed to fulfill a need for the air transport industry to monitor itself with respect to uniformity of cockpit design for air transport aircraft.
Standardization of the flight deck is becoming increasingly important to both operators and manufacturers. The objective is to design for the operational efficiencies necessary to maintain a competitive and viable air transportation industry. This must be accomplished while maintaining or improving the existing levels of operating efficiencies and safety. The S-7 Committees is committed to serving this purpose. This is an international committee of members representing major aircraft manufacturers, airlines from United States, Europe, and the Far East, as well as equipment designers, manufacturers, regulatory authorities, and other interested parties.Reference

* Redlines comparisons are available for those standards
listed in the Revision History that contain a radio button. A
redline comparison of the current version against a revision is
accomplished by selecting the radio button next to the standard and
then selecting 'compare'. At this time, Redline versions only exist
for some AMS standards. SAE will continue to add redline versioning
with ongoing updates to SAE MOBILUS.
