This SAE Aerospace Recommended Practice (ARP) provides information to guide in the selection of electromechanical relays to be used in electronic circuits for application in aerospace, ground, and shipboard systems to achieve proper performance.

Issuing Committee
SAE Subcommittee AE-8B3, Relays and Power Controllers, shall be associated with those activities directed by the Aerospace Electronics and Electrical System Division of SAE, and SAE Committee AE-8, Aerospace Electric/Electronic Distribution Systems, for the development and application of electromechanical and solid state relays and power controllers and associated hardware standards and specifications.
