AMS5925C is the result of a Five-Year Review and update of the specification. The revision updates the Title to match the Scope, prohibits unauthorized exceptions (see 3.7, 4.4.4, and 8.6), adds composition reporting (see 3.1.1), updates finish requirements (see 3.3.1.2), prohibits bar from plate (see 3.3.1.3), revises micro-inclusion requirements (see 3.4.1.2), updates decarburization testing requirements (see 3.4.2.4), removes tolerance on quench (see 3.4.3), adds UT testing option (see 3.5.1 and 4.2.1), updates quality requirements (see 3.5.2 and 8.7), and adds option for additional forging stock requirements (see 4.4.3 and 8.8).
