Gold-Palladium-Nickel Alloy Brazing Filler Metal, High Temperature, 30Au 34Pd 36Ni, 2075 to 2130°F (1135 to 1166°C) Solidus-Liquidus Range
- Aerospace Material Specification
This specification covers a gold-palladium-nickel alloy in the form of wire, rod, sheet, strip, foil, pig, powder, shot, and chips and a viscous mixture (paste) of powder in a suitable binder.
This filler metal has been used typically for joining corrosion and heat resistant steels and alloys where corrosion and oxidation resistant joints with good strength at elevated temperatures are required, but usage is not limited to such applications.
Data Sets - Support Documents
The committee of Corrosion and Heat Resistant Steels and Alloys and Specialty Steels and Alloys, AMS Committee F, will prepare, coordinate, and revise documents related to corrosion and heat resistant steels and alloys and specialty steels and alloys technology, such as stainless steels and nickel and base alloys, through the participation of metals suppliers, users, and interested government agencies. Committee activities shall provide a forum for the cooperative interchange of ideas and experience of the participants, resulting in the publication of specifications that embody sound, established aerospace industry practices and requirements to serve the suppliers and customers of aerospace materials.
