This specification covers a copper-zinc alloy (brass) in the form of laminated sheet.
Rationale
AMS4508J results from a Five-Year Review and update of this specification. Changes have been made to prohibit unauthorized exceptions (3.6, 8.6), update Reports (4.4.1), and Identification (5.1.1), and allow use of the immediate prior revison of this specification (8.5).
The committee of Nonferrous Alloys, AMS Committee D, shall prepare, coordinate, and revise documents related to nonferrous metals technology, such as aluminum, magnesium, and copper, through the participation of metals suppliers, users, and interested government agencies. Committee activities shall provide a forum for the cooperative interchange of ideas and experience of the participants, resulting in the publication of specifications that embody sound, established aerospace industry practices and requirements to serve the suppliers and customers of aerospace materials.

Wild Cards

Using the question mark, ( ? ) allows you to search for a word with a single character wildcard. For example, searching for t?re would match both tire and tyre
Using Quotes
Words in double quotes " " are treated as a phrase. Conducting a search for "heat model" will return all results in which the exact phrase "heat model" is found, while "heat modeling" would NOT be included.
A term combined with a phrase will be joined with an OR operator.
