Probabilistic Evaluation of a City Motor Bus Chassis Fatigue Failure

It is presented a probabilistic approach for the fatigue analysis of city motor bus chassis, taking in view the statistical representation of some variables such as the dynamic stress distribution, induced by external loads, and material mechanical properties. The chassis fatigue failure probability is compared with failure rates of other components, in order to define the city bus operational life.
