Abstract
Subjective assessment is used to aid the refinement processes of bencmarking, target setting and pass off testing. This study investigates standardising the means of subjectively assessing vehicle NVH and developing a method for processing the results to give specific information on subjective responses. Experienced assessors were used to appraise 6 vehicles for the factors of the noise and the noise and vibration relating to a specific features of the vehicle.
This investigation aims to demonstrate the consistent trends of subjective appraisal and correlates subjective and objective boom levels.
