Reduction of Nox By Catalyst in Diesel Engine Exhaust

The activity of Cu-Zeolite catalyst to reduce NOx by HC reductant agents is very affected by H2O and other presence gases. O2 concentration effects catalyst activity even in dry gas conditions. Some reductant agents have been performed to get rid of deterioration, especially ethylene glycol showed two times more effectiveness than other HC reductant agents.
