Abstract
A data logging system was installed on two natural gas field demonstration vehicles. The systems were equipped with cellular telephones and modems. This enabled daily performance monitoring of the engines and vehicles from across the country. The impacts and implication of this remote access on such a demonstration project are discussed in detail in this paper.
