Abstract
The paper outlines the quality assurance steps introduced to ensure that diecaster's scrap can be recycled to meet the AZ91D chemical specifications. The inner cleanliness of this material is compared with that of regular alloy ingot produced from electrolytic metal. Additionally, the mechanical properties achieved in diecast parts produced from refined recycled alloy are compared with those of identical parts produced from regular electrolytic alloy.
