The Power Law Model in Reliability Analysis of Repairable Systems During Development Testing

Most of the industrial products are subjected to a development phase before they go in production. In this paper, a model to assess the reliability growth of a repairable system and to predict the time of a future failure during the development program is discussed. Some emphasis is place on bayes methods, since they allow technical information to be incorporated into inferential procedure. This is especially useful when only a limited number of empirical data is available, so that a low efficiency can be expected by classical methods.
