Automated FEA Mesh Generation from Solids

Abstract
Finite Element Mesh generation has been been successfully accomplished (automatically) using two solid modeling packages. The latest systems are robust, accurate, and provide time savings of a factor of 15 for powertrain components. The benefits, and lessons learned from this study are described.
