Abstract
The seating comfort can be classified into three factors:
-
(1)
body support,
-
(2)
transmissibility,
-
(3)
fit performance.
The original construction (BC and HC plates) have been developed to obtain high-stiffness and continous body support. The BC (back contour) and HC (hip contour) plates are support members formed to resemble the shape of spinal column curve and human hip.
As a result, a prototype seat installed the new construction for high-class car satisfies those three factors at high levels.
