Superconducting Maglev on the New Test Line and Related Technology Development in Japan

With the Government approval of the construction plan of an about 43 km long new maglev test line in Yamanashi Prefecture, the superconducting maglev development in Japan has stepped into a new phase. This paper updates the progress in the related research and development on the Yamanashi Maglev Test Line.
