Modelling of Die Tryout

This paper presents recent progress in the development of computer software for die tryout simulation in industrial sheet metal forming processes. Outlined are the limits of material formability within which any sheet metal stamping must perform, as well as a sequence of steps involved in the preliminary evaluation of forming severity based on a computer model of the forming process.
