- The pressure wave supercharger Comprex(R) has already found wide scale application to passenger car diesel engines. The ideal throughput characteristic and instantaneous pressure build-up make it an interesting alternative supercharger for all vehicular engines, particularly under stringent emission regulations. A new control mechanism substantially increases pressure and efficiency at part load. And, the ability to promote catalytic post-oxidation in the cellular rotor itself is gaining in attractiveness. Over 1 million kilometers have been logged and 13'000 hours recorded in utility vehicles. This demonstrates that technical maturity, a prerequisite for utility fleet applications, has been attained.
