Authors Abstract
Content
In discussing welding methods for tubing, it is necessary to limit ourselves to some particular area of the industry. In this paper we will confine the discussion to tubing as made from coiled steel material, formed to cylindrical shape in a succession of roll passes to form a longitudinal seam, welding the seam with one of a variety of methods, cooling, sizing or reshaping with more roll passes, and with a flying cut-off to produce cut lengths.
