Authors Abstract
Content
Computer hardware and software tools for the effective collection, processing and distribution of information have become widely available to the cable harness industry. These tools have created new opportunities for applying methods of manufacture to cable harnesses which previously would not have been justified without the support of a computer system.
A cable harness manufacturing system is described which is designed to work within a computerised systems environment. It is discussed along with other techniques of cable harness assembly and test which also benefit from computer integrated technology.
