Abstract
Content
This paper discusses four different methods for measuring the transmission error of loaded gears and provides example data obtained using each of the methods. The methods discussed are all designed to either measure transmission error under load, or for measuring the errors at operating speeds. Two of the methods use optical encoders and the other two use torsional accelerometers.
