Control Design for a Differential Compound Engine

Abstract
A microcomputer-based controller has been designed for a differential compound engine (DCE). Following assessment of the DCE state interactions, single input-output loop strategies were developed using a dynamic simulation. The simulation, control strategies and final implementation are described, and simulated transient responses are presented.
