Abstract
The CONVEX C-1 is a new low cost, high performance computer system. For some simulation applications it is an ideal tool for achieving supercomputer results at minicomputer prices. This paper summarizes the system's general properties, the concept of vector processing, C-1 architecture, C-1 hardware and software, benchmark results, and tips on programming for the C-1.
