Abstract
This paper discusses a new, more accurate, and more reliable method of developing clutch cover designs through computer design and analysis.
This method enables powertrain engineers to optimize their clutch cover designs for a specific application, eliminate errors early in the design process, and assess the effects of manufacturing tolerances without actually building a clutch cover. The major benefits are a more accurate and reliable design with reduced design and development time and costs.
