Authors Abstract
Content
This paper examines the development of an Australian Restraint System to be used in the unique U.S. environment of Passive Restraint Laws and 35 m.p.h. crash tests.
These additional Specifications plus the injury criteria of the occupant Crash Protection Standard create special and specific problems for the restraint manufacturer.
These problems have been addressed by the development and use of some special add-on features and low elongation webbing.
