Abstract
The threshing mechanism of a Green Pea harvester is described with the drives previously used compared to a constant speed drive consisting of a variable displacement pump with electrohydraulic controls driving a fixed displacement motor. The electrohydraulic controls include an electrical displacement control device with its signal provided by a closed loop feedback controller. The advantage of the constant speed drive is a higher quality product harvested and improved harvesting flexibility.
