Authors Abstract
Content
A new family of containers has been developed that will fit in different aircraft. Custom configurations of these containers, in each aircraft model, effectively utilize the cube and lift of each. This minimizes the number of container types required in a system and allows effective use of more aircraft models.
Guidance in selection of aircraft, in a desired size category, that yields maximum physical capacity and maximum probable revenue payload, is provided through consideration of:
  1. 1.
The capabilities of the aircraft when utilizing a preferred configuration of containers from the container family.
  2. 2.
The loaded density of products in the system.
