The Intex FX700 Wheelchair Lift-Design Considerations and Results

The advantages of a cantilever structural design and electrohydraulic power source for a single hydraulic cylinder are demonstrated in the basic functioning of the InTex FX700 wheelchair lift. A short history of the development of wheelchair lifts for light duty trucks (vans) is presented with emphasis on the contrasting design approaches that emerged during simultaneous but independent operations within the United States and Canada.
