- While writing a book on inventors, the author found that very few great inventors had college training-their education averaged only 11.3 yrs. A search of Psychology literature confirmed: (a) Little correlation exists between IQ and CQ (Creativity Quotient) (b) Evidence exists that continued education beyond 14 years may drastically decrease one's creativity and increase dogmatism, (c) a reliable creativity test does not exist, and (d) The Gifted Children Program gives litte attention to CQ.
