Authors Abstract
Content
As traditional means of operating automotive and non-automotive manufacturing businesses are becoming less effective, many are turning to Just-In-Time production processes.
By reviewing the programs, plans, implementation processes, expectations, and results of the AP Parts Company, much can be learned about Just-In-Time production. AP Parts is a privately-owned, medium-sized, multiplant company specializing in automotive exhaust systems. The different needs of Original Equipment Manufacturers and Aftermarket buyers are addressed.
