- A new biodynamic model of the head/neck system is presented. It consists of a series of rigid bodies together with springs and dampers representing the skull, the vertebrae, and the soft tissue. Equations of motion of the model are converted into computer algorithms, and the dynamic response to impact is simulated. Excellent agreement with experimental data is obtained.
