Authors Abstract
Content
The quality of wheel alignment depends on four factors:
  1. 1.
    alignment equipment
  2. 2.
    toe setting operation
  3. 3.
    influence of the tire
  4. 4.
    hysteresis of the vehicle's suspension
A static alignment machine, equipped with a computer, can handle all necessary vehicle data to determine exactly the toe adjustment values. The automatic toe-set equipment provides better results than a manual operation, as it uses much less of the given tolerance. A compensation of the hysteresis of the car is feasible by checking the suspension height.
