Abstract
The quality of wheel alignment depends on four factors:
- 1. alignment equipment
- 2. toe setting operation
- 3. influence of the tire
- 4. hysteresis of the vehicle's suspension
A static alignment machine, equipped with a computer, can handle all necessary vehicle data to determine exactly the toe adjustment values. The automatic toe-set equipment provides better results than a manual operation, as it uses much less of the given tolerance. A compensation of the hysteresis of the car is feasible by checking the suspension height.
